“Listen, kid, we’re all in it together.” – Harry Tuttle
AdeptiCon’s continued success and annual growth is a result of setting high standards for the convention and working year-round to meet those expectations. From a registration process that’s easier than filling out a 27B/6 to populating hundreds of gaming tables with amazing thematic terrain, AdeptiCon attempts to meet or exceed your expectations every year. The convention, and your fellow attendees, also have certain standards we expect you to meet. To that end, we’ve asked Information Retrieval to dust off our standards and conduct policy as a quick reminder.
AdeptiCon brings together a large group of people with a shared passion for the tabletop miniatures hobby. Our responsibility, which we take very seriously, is to ensure that everyone can participate in our event without fear, harassment, or intimidation.
Our Standards: We categorically reject all forms of bigotry, hatred, and discrimination.
Our Conduct Policy expressly prohibits:
- Harassment based on protected characteristics
- Threats, intimidation, and stalking
- Conduct creating hostile environments
Violations will result in removal from the event and may result in a ban from all future AdeptiCon events. Credible threats will be reported to authorities.
Security at the Baird Center: All attendees entering AdeptiCon pass through metal detectors and are screened by security staff. The Baird Center maintains 24-hour professional security throughout the facility. Weapons are not permitted in the Baird Center.
Report Concerns:
- At event: Registration desk (3rd Floor), staff members, venue security
- Before event: [email protected]
- Emergency situations: Dial 911
We enforce these standards in all AdeptiCon spaces. When conduct anywhere threatens safety at the event, we will act.
AdeptiCon is organized by and for people who love this hobby and who respect these boundaries. If you cannot, for any reason, uphold these standards, AdeptiCon is not for you.
We look forward to seeing you in March!
