When AdeptiCon began hosting Warhammer 40,000 events way back in 2003, the game was in its third edition, so it is safe to say that we have seen, across eight editions, our fair share of changes to 40K.
Every year, the AdeptiCon Terrain Team diligently works on various terrain projects for the convention. For 2025’s Milwaukee debut, the Team is producing new terrain for Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Middle-earth Strategy Battle, Legion Imperialis, Star Wars Legion, Star Wars Shatterpoint, and Marvel Crisis Protocol. We also support a number of other events throughout the year, with a variety of terrain needs.
The advent of Warhammer 40,000 10th Edition and the official Games Workshop Leviathan format has introduced major changes to the game’s terrain element. To address these changes, the AdeptiCon Team worked closely with our friends at Tablewar to develop a range of competitive terrain base sets in 2024 and we’ve reorganized our 40K terrain accordingly. This effort included producing a respectable number of new tables utilizing these base sets. To check out these sets, along with Tablewar’s extensive range of products here.
Last year’s terrain efforts garnered some very positive feedback, but not one to rest on our laurels, AdeptiCon intends to build on those efforts for 2025. This year’s AdeptiCon will see over 50 new Warhammer 40,000 tables, with nearly 1,000 new pieces of terrain built and painted to modernize our 40K collection and to address the recent Pariah Nexus layouts. To illustrate the point, we’ve created a showcase video and gallery of images that highlight all the hard work and give you a hint of what you can expect to see at AdeptiCon 2025.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the effort of dozens of hobbyists who volunteer their time and talent on the AdeptiCon Terrain Team! To say that they go above and beyond doesn’t begin to describe the level of commitment they bring to these efforts. Additionally, it’s important to recognize the importance of our partners and the support they provide:
Thanks for making these improvements possible!
