Over the years, the Warhammer 40K play experience has evolved and grown. Our attendees have consistently provided feedback that has shaped and improved our convention and the experience we provide our players.
We are proud to announce that, in partnership with Games Workshop and its events team, we will update our competitive 40K terrain in 2027.
Every table for the 40K Championships and 40K Team Tournament will use the new official Games Workshop pre-painted terrain, layouts and templates.
Work is underway to clip, clean, and assemble terrain for more than 400 new tables. It is a major undertaking, and the AdeptiCon Terrain Team will need help.
Stay tuned for opportunities to get involved and support this effort!

Our friends and AdeptiCon exhibitors, Collins Epic Wargames, are launching their new 6mm science fiction wargame on Gamefound this week. They provided attendees with a little preview at last year's convention, to much acclaim. The background, gameplay, and models all drew a lot of attention and we are very much looking forward to a successful campaign and a bright future for salvage ops.

Old Guard Games has launched their new YouTube channel with an interesting movie trailer style walk-thru of AdeptiCon 2026. In addition, there are videos about their incredible MIlwaukee store, and the first in a series of interviews with gaming personalities called 'En Garde' featuring rules writer extraordinaire Joseph McCullough.
Many more interesting subjects are planned for the coming months ,including an insiders guide to Milwaukee planned for the month before AdeptiCon 2027
It is with great sadness and profound respect that we mark the passing of John Blanche, legendary artist and creator of worlds. Father of grimdark, his influence cannot be overstated and he has left an indelible mark on a generation of artists and fans. His work will live on, we have no doubt, and we offer our condolences to his family and many friends. The galaxy is a little smaller without him.
Summer is right around the corner, and we hope you’ve got some appropriate activities planned, from backyard grilling to baseball games, to family vacations that don’t take ten years, a cyclops battle, and avoiding sea monsters and singing duos to get home from. We hope your summer odysseys are more fun and relaxation and less ’wrath of the gods’ kind of stuff.

AdeptiCon 2026 Army Showcase Gallery from Manifest Studios
The AdeptiCon Army Showcase has become one of the convention’s most prestigious and exciting events. Hundreds of attendees walked through the great hall to bear witness to this year’s fantastic display of hobby talent, craftsmanship, and story-telling. From the bloody fields of France during the Hundred Years War, to the dusty streets of Tatooine, to the warp-twisted daemonworlds of the 41st Millenia, to Saruman’s dark tower of Orthanc, this year’s Team Tournament armies took us to some amazing places, some familiar and some completely alien.
The talented team at Manifest Studios captured this year’s collection of armies brilliantly, and they’ve shared their photos here. So if you missed this year’s Showcase, now’s your chance to view the thousands of hours of work put into these armies and displays. John Blanche 1948-2026
