WIP Wednesday!

WIP Wednesday!

Because I don’t have enough projects, I decided to start a Japanese army for Bolt Action. I’m going to do a Special Naval Landing Force army, so they’ll be in green uniforms with jungle bases. I have one test model done. Maybe these will be at a future AdeptiCon?

As to actually AdeptiCon projects, those are about done. I should finish up some collateral for my games this weekend. What all are you working on?

AdeptiCon 2026: Tabletop Minions Features Terrain Efforts

“Unsung heroes” could very well describe the vast majority of AdeptiCon’s loyal staff and vaunted volunteers. They work very hard, year-round, to ensure that the convention runs smoothly. One of these dedicated groups, the AdeptiCon Spray Team, or Airbrush Megaforce, recently received some rare coverage from the Tabletop Minions channel. Uncle Atom takes a look at the history and evolution of AdeptiCon’s terrain efforts and spent a couple days embedded with the rag-tag group of rogues, space pirates, and Miskatonic University graduates that make up the Team.

WIP Wednesday!

It’s another Wednesday, so time to check in on what you’re working on. I’ve been stuck doing my day job too much, so I haven’t got my done. However, my friends are making progress. If you play in the 40K Friendly you might see this Starweaver. He also panted up some cultists. Finally, we use a winged hussar motorcycle to lead some Polish Flames Early War Motorcycles.

What are you working on this week?

AdeptiCon 2026: Prize Support from ‘More Than Dice

The crew at ‘More Than Dice’ podcast are making some generous donations to this year’s Warcrow and Infinity events. From the MTD folks:

“Donations keep coming and they don't stop coming…

We will be donating three tables worth of terrain to the Warcrow event, along with a ton of Turbo Dork paint, and a wide variety of models to the Infinity and Warcrow events for prize support this year at Adepticon!

We want to thank our friends at Turbo Dork for their generous donation, RM Printable for the terrain files, and Nessie Knows for his donation of models.

If you haven’t signed up for the Corvus Belli Warcrow and Infinity events, please do so, you do not want to miss this year!”

AdeptiCon 2026: Standards and Conduct Policy

“Listen, kid, we’re all in it together.” - Harry Tuttle

AdeptiCon’s continued success and annual growth is a result of setting high standards for the convention and working year-round to meet those expectations. From a registration process that’s easier than filling out a 27B/6 to populating hundreds of gaming tables with amazing thematic terrain, AdeptiCon attempts to meet or exceed your expectations every year. The convention, and your fellow attendees, also have certain standards we expect you to meet. To that end, we’ve asked Information Retrieval to dust off our standards and conduct policy as a quick reminder.

AdeptiCon brings together a large group of people with a shared passion for the tabletop miniatures hobby. Our responsibility, which we take very seriously, is to ensure that everyone can participate in our event without fear, harassment, or intimidation.

Our Standards:
We categorically reject all forms of bigotry, hatred, and discrimination.

Our Conduct Policy (full version: tinyurl.com/2026conductpolicy) expressly prohibits:

- Harassment based on protected characteristics
- Threats, intimidation, and stalking
- Conduct creating hostile environments

Violations will result in removal from the event and may result in a ban from all future AdeptiCon events. Credible threats will be reported to authorities.

Security at the Baird Center:
All attendees entering AdeptiCon pass through metal detectors and are screened by security staff. The Baird Center maintains 24-hour professional security throughout the facility. Weapons are not permitted in the Baird Center.

Report Concerns:
- At event: Registration desk (3rd Floor), staff members, venue security
- Before event: [email protected]
- Emergency situations: Dial 911

We enforce these standards in all AdeptiCon spaces. When conduct anywhere threatens safety at the event, we will act.

AdeptiCon is organized by and for people who love this hobby and who respect these boundaries. If you cannot, for any reason, uphold these standards, AdeptiCon is not for you.

We look forward to seeing you in March!

WIP Wednesday!

Don't think I've forgotten, we all still have a lot more work to do for the con! I've been stuck doing my day job and schoolwork for the past couple of weeks, but I'm back to painting! Got some Revolutionary War models done along with some new Space Marine projects. I also have 1/200 scale B-52 from Lead Pursuit Podcast and Blue Falcon Hobbies. The Space Marines are for scale, this thing is huge! I'm trying to find some good 1960s decals and a paint scheme involving anti-flash white currently, so this is a backburner project as this won't be at AdeptiCon 2026. Maybe in 2027 we can do an event with some! Check back next week as I should have my Victory at Sea stuff painted.
