AdeptiCon 2025: The Warhammer 40,000 Friendly

40K Friendly players! Today we preview the 2025 team bandanas, which are both stylish and practical. We also present a link to the final 40K Friendly rules.

So, with about a month and a half left before AdeptiCon, I would definitely take this as the sign you’ve been waiting for. Consider it your third Reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants and get your armies built and painted!

Okay, who brought the dog…

AdeptiCon 2025: The Dawn of a New Era

AdeptiCon 2025 has smashed event registration numbers and will be the biggest AdeptiCon yet! This year’s convention will be a historic celebration of the hobby, with a record-breaking offering of tournaments, event games, classes, and seminars. No matter where your particular interests lie or what game your sights are focused on, the AdeptiCon 2025 collection of events has something for you.

And all of this is happening at a new, larger, state of the art venue. The Baird Center in downtown Milwaukee presents the convention with new possibilities and opportunities and provides the perfect space to host this year’s event.

AdeptiCon’s history, like those epics of old, tells a story and each year a new chapter is added. Friends, old and new, share tales of glorious victories and ignominious defeats, in an annual tradition of camaraderie, competition, and a shared love of the hobby. 2025 represents a new era for the convention, a new book in the saga.

We are very much looking forward to sharing this new chapter with you and we will see you in March!

I know a ton of creators that would be interested in this, but so few actually use facebook anymore. The form is pretty vague, do y'all have any hard data on what kinda creators and following sizes y'all are looking for?

This is a great opportunity for those that participate. You really get to meet some amazing people.

Chris? Idk if you would want to do this

Para Bellum Games Unveils Their New Conquest Faction

Our friends at Para Bellum Games unleash the Yoroni, a very cool new faction with roots in Japanese mythology. Para Bellum provides some details...

After months of speculation among the community, Para Bellum Wargames, the developer and publisher of the fantasy Regimental Miniature Wargame “Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings” and Skirmish system “Conquest: First Blood,” has revealed its 9th faction: the demonic samurai called Yoroni!

A unique twist which marries the elegance of Japanese mythology to violent elements of the demonic from fantasy culture, the Yoroni are an easy-to-play, hard to master, brute-only faction. They feature a bruiser-like gameplay style, with mighty warriors and powerful abilities, giving players their own, unique and versatile way to dominate the battlefield, while bringing a whole new aesthetic on tabletops. With the graceful sophistication of artistry combined with the brutality of primordial warriors, a whole new, uniquely styled series of canvases to paint is coming for Conquest. And with this being a Brute army, it has never been easier to get into Conquest; or start a brand-new army you didn’t know you needed.

Will these be available at Adepticon?

This Kitsune model is pretty amazing.

These look amazing. As someone who does not play Conquest, what does brute-only mean? Is that the larger base size?

Will there be dice for sale on the day? Surprised to see them sell out in the first 20 min

will there be an option to upgrade to receive a swag bag with a regular badge? I had multiple issues with registration for a few hours and was unable to get the advanced badge. I am visiting all the way from Guam and really want to maximize my experience! Super stoked about this year

Is registration now?

AdeptiCon 2025: Terrain Update

When AdeptiCon began hosting Warhammer 40,000 events way back in 2003, the game was in its third edition, so it is safe to say that we have seen, across eight editions, our fair share of changes to 40K.

Every year, the AdeptiCon Terrain Team diligently works on various terrain projects for the convention. For 2025’s Milwaukee debut, the Team is producing new terrain for Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Middle-earth Strategy Battle, Legion Imperialis, Star Wars Legion, Star Wars Shatterpoint, and Marvel Crisis Protocol. We also support a number of other events throughout the year, with a variety of terrain needs.

The advent of Warhammer 40,000 10th Edition and the official Games Workshop Leviathan format has introduced major changes to the game’s terrain element. To address these changes, the AdeptiCon Team worked closely with our friends at Tablewar to develop a range of competitive terrain base sets in 2024 and we’ve reorganized our 40K terrain accordingly. This effort included producing a respectable number of new tables utilizing these base sets. To check out these sets, along with Tablewar’s extensive range of products, follow the link below:

https://tablewar.com/blogs/news/competitive40k

Last year’s terrain efforts garnered some very positive feedback, but not one to rest on our laurels, AdeptiCon intends to build on those efforts for 2025. This year’s AdeptiCon will see over 50 new Warhammer 40,000 tables, with nearly 1,000 new pieces of terrain built and painted to modernize our 40K collection and to address the recent Pariah Nexus layouts. To illustrate the point, we’ve created a showcase video and gallery of images that highlight all the hard work and give you a hint of what you can expect to see at AdeptiCon 2025.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiBO6XLMeko

Of course, none of this would be possible without the effort of dozens of hobbyists who volunteer their time and talent on the AdeptiCon Terrain Team! To say that they go above and beyond doesn’t begin to describe the level of commitment they bring to these efforts. Additionally, it’s important to recognize the importance of our partners and the support they provide:

Monument Hobbies
Badger Air-Brush Company
Games Workshop
Polymaker
War Scenery
TABLEWAR

Thanks for making these improvements possible!

AdeptiCon 2025: Board Gaming Expands with the Help of the Milwaukee Company of Gamers

Board gaming at AdeptiCon is expanding in 2025. AdeptiCon is excited to announce a partnership with the Milwaukee Company of Gamers, one of the Midwest’s premiere gaming groups.

Milwaukee Company of Gamers will be bringing their 2,000+ library of game titles, along with a friendly and knowledgeable staff to host the AdeptiCon Board Game Library. If you’ve attended either Gamehole Con in Madison, WI or the Midwest Gaming Classic in Milwaukee, WI, you may already be familiar with them as they’ve had a major presence at both conventions, along with hosting numerous local events in the Milwaukee area.

Partnering with MilCoG in this way allows our own board game staff to focus on the World Series of Board Gaming Midwest Qualifier, our annual tournaments, and (drum roll, please) returning to AdeptiCon 2025 after a long hiatus, a Catan National Qualifier!

I "booth babe'd" many years ago at Adepticon for a publisher that had me appear inside some products, and it was an awesome time! I'll be helping MilCoG out this coming year! Can't wait!

They're fantastic at Game Hole. Looking forward to seeing them at AdeptiCon.

Very excited for this partnership!

We’ve Got Spirit, Yes We Do…

That perennial cheer is pretty meaningful for AdeptiCon, where good sportsmanship and team events have long been priorities for the convention. The camaraderie that results in a team of like-minded hobbyists planning, building, painting, displaying, and, finally, playing games with a thematic army is an amazing phenomenon, and any team that brings a well-painted and themed army to an event has, in our opinion, already won.

With this long-running emphasis in mind, AdeptiCon is proud to announce that we’re sponsoring the ‘Team Spirit Award’ for this year’s Challengers Cup, the largest 8-player team Warhammer 40,000 event in the United States. The winners of the ‘Team Spirit’ prize will find themselves with enough credit to bring their ‘esprit de corps’ to AdeptiCon 2026!

Am I understanding correctly that after registering, you can return to the site to add more specific gaming events to your registration? Or does this all have to be done on the original registration?

Am I remembering wrong or was event registration separate from Adepticon registration last year?

will it still be free to walk the floor and buy stuff ?
