HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES

We here at AdeptiCon are very excited to see the 2022 convention return to an in-person event. The only thing more important to us than once again seeing each other is that we do so in the safest way possible. We, as a major convention, have certain obligations and responsibilities and we take these very seriously. Our various planning and logistical teams continue to review our health and safety rules and guidelines and we are committed to communicating these to you, the attendee, and to, likewise, ensure that these 2022 policies are effectively upheld.

While we will be making the standards expected for attending AdeptiCon 2022 as clear as possible, be aware that we may be required to make updates and adjustments over the coming months, potentially up to the date of the convention. We will be closely monitoring local, state, and national CDC guidelines and we will notify you of any changes as soon as we possibly can.

AdeptiCon 2022 Health and Safety Policy and Protocols
The health and safety of every attendee, volunteer, exhibitor, and staff member remains our top priority. For the 2022 convention, we are implementing a series of new guidelines, protocols, and policies based on current local, state, and Center for Disease Control guidelines, as well as those issued by the Schaumburg Convention Center and the Marriott Renaissance. These are being put in place to ensure a safe and comfortable experience and we expect every attendee, including exhibitors, guests, staff, instructors, and volunteers to comply fully with these protocols. The policies outlined here are subject to change, so please monitor this space for additional guidance. Current requirements include:

Current Policy (Updated 02.25.2022)
The State of Illinois and Cook County have announced plans to lift the vaccine and mask mandates effective February 28th. These changes are based on the standards and thresholds set for a reduction in cases and hospitalizations from the peak numbers of earlier in the year.

Having reviewed these changes, and consulted with State and County authorities along with our Venue partners we will be adopting the following changes:

AdeptiCon will be maintaining our previous policy of requiring attendees to show proof of vaccination or a negative test for attending the show. One of these must be shown during badge pickup (physical copy or digital application in the case of proof of vaccination) along with proof of identification. If producing a negative test, the test must be an antigen COVID-19 test taken within 24 hours of badge pick up for the event, or a PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of badge pick up for the event. The test must be administered by a medical provider. We will not accept at-home or any self-administered tests.

Masks are recommended but not required to be worn while attending AdeptiCon.

Increased Sanitation and Hygiene
AdeptiCon is working closely with the Schaumburg Convention Center and Marriott to increase overall sanitation and we plan on supplementing policies based on CDC, governmental and industry best practices. It is the responsibility of every individual to maintain good personal hygiene, including frequent hand washing.

Follow the Code of Conduct
Please be aware of and respect the personal boundaries of your fellow attendees so that everyone can enjoy their time at AdeptiCon. All attendees are expected to abide by the AdeptiCon Conduct Policy.
