HEALTH & SAFETY FAQ

Why is AdeptiCon requiring proof of vaccination?

    • AdeptiCon is obligated to comply with the most recent Cook County mitigation order. AdeptiCon must follow this mitigation order since we have food and beverage onsite and are considered “Event space” which is specifically covered by the order. Our only other option is to not hold the event or risk being in violation of the order and having the entire event shut down by Cook County.

What do I need to provide to show proof of vaccination?

    • Attendees will be asked to show proof of full vaccination from a FDA or WHO approved vaccine on their smartphone or through a physical copy, along with an appropriate ID matching the name on the documentation.
    • People can provide proof of vaccination by showing:
      • A CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card; or
      • An official immunization record from the jurisdiction, state, or country where the vaccine was administered; or
      • An ‘app’ that provides a digital record of vaccinations; or
      • A digital or physical photo of such a card or record that includes the individual’s name, the vaccine brand administered, and the date the vaccination was administered
    • Anyone 18 years or older must also present a government-issued ID such as driver’s license or passport.
    • We accept proof of vaccination of any vaccine approved by the World Health Organization: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/covid-19-vaccines.

What does “fully” vaccinated mean?

    • AdeptiCon will adhere to whatever the current definition of Fully Vaccinated is, as defined by the CDC.
    • An individual is considered fully-vaccinated:
      • Two weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series with an approved COVID-19 vaccine, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
      • Two weeks after a single-dose series with an approved COVID-19 vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
    • This is based on the current CDC definition and may change according to CDC guidelines.
