Getting Ready for AdeptiCon 2022!

Hard to believe, but AdeptiCon 2022 is finally here! As the weekend is generally a grand cacophony of gaming goodness, we just wanted to cover a few of the convention basics to help you get prepared. It’s a bit lengthy, but filled with good information, so without further ado..

YOUR AGENDA
Like previous years, you are responsible for you own agenda. Printing agendas for every attendee has become a monumental task given all the last-minute changes and tweaks to schedules. This is a very simple process:

  1. Log into the Cvent registration system by clicking the Already Registered? link at the bottom. Then use the email address you registered with and your confirmation number .
  2. Print the page.

Tournament organizers, hobby instructors and the like will have attendee lists onsite. You do not need a ticket or your Agenda sheet if you preregistered for an event. To check into a preregistered event, you will only need your AdeptiCon Badge.

For your convenience, we also suggest you download the CrowdCompass app. Your agenda will be automatically synced when you log in with the same e-mail you used to register for AdeptiCon with.

HEALTH & SAFETY CHECK
REMINDER: Proof of full vaccination or a negative test is required to attend AdeptiCon.

Please see the AdeptiCon 2022 Health & Safety Guidelines and FAQ for more info.

Attendees must show proof of vaccination or a negative test to attend the show. One of these must be shown during badge pickup (physical copy or digital application in the case of proof of vaccination – see FAQ) along with proof of identification. If producing a negative test, the test must be an antigen COVID-19 test taken within 24 hours of badge pick up for the event, or a PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of badge pick up for the event. The test must be administered by a medical provider. We will not accept at-home or any self-administered tests.

Anyone failing to adhere to these requirements will be removed from the event and forfeit all event fees.

CODE OF CONDUCT
Like all conventions, AdeptiCon is a gathering of like-minded individuals coming together to have a good time. Our focus is providing a fun, safe environment for all our attendees, staff, exhibitors, and hosts.

Please familiarize yourself with our Conduct Policy. If you find yourself with concerns, please immediately contact the registration desk, a staff member, or hotel security.

REGISTRATION HOURS/BADGE PICKUP
All AdeptiCon attendees will be able to pick up their badge and event tickets at the AdeptiCon registration table starting Wednesday, March 23rd at 7:00 pm or any of the following days beginning at 7:00 am. We will open registration early on Wednesday evening at 5:00 pm if we finish setup ahead of schedule.

AdeptiCon Badges and tickets for open events can be purchased on site starting Thursday, March 24th at 8:00 am.

The registration desk will stay open until 11:00 pm on Wednesday evening and 10:00 pm every other night.

WEDNESDAY EVENING EVENTS
We realize a few events begin before registration even opens. You DO NOT need to pick up your badge prior to attending these events. The event organizers will be checking proof of vaccination, issuing wristbands, and have an attendee list. Proof of ID will be sufficient for entry to these events.

OVERFLOW PARKING
While parking at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center is free, anyone who has been to AdeptiCon in the past knows what a headache it can be to find a spot on Friday and Saturday. To help alleviate this issue, we have secured overflow parking at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg Chicago. The Hyatt Regency is located 5 mins away from the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center. See the Shuttle Schedule for transportation options to and from the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg Chicago.

Note: Do not park in Lot 5 off Walter Payton Drive. All other spaces are available for hotel guest parking.

LOST BADGES
AdeptiCon will not replace lost badges. Your badge is your ticket into events, so do not lose it!

REFUNDS/EXCHANGES
There will be NO CASH REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES onsite. AdeptiCon cannot be responsible for travel, attendance or event issues caused by an Act of God(s), including, but not limited to, war, illness, strike, act of terrorism, severe weather, pandemics, or natural disasters.

LOST AND FOUND
There will be a lost and found box at the Registration Desk. We will do our best to reunite you with any lost items or armies, but we cannot be responsible for items left unsupervised.

CARE OF TERRAIN AND THE CONVENTION CENTER
AdeptiCon volunteers have invested an incredible amount of time and effort to provide you with quality gaming terrain. Please treat the terrain with the utmost care throughout the weekend. If accidental damage does occur to a piece of terrain, please notify an event judge so the piece can be flagged for repair.

Please, please, please pick up after yourself. Leaving trash on and under tables makes for an unpleasant environment for everyone and greatly prolongs the hall cleanup at the end of the day.
