Peril in Marienburg
Within Marienburg there is a name that strikes fear into the hearts of even the deadliest of men. His name is the “Master of Shadows”. None have ever seen him but he has made his presence felt for years. No criminal act takes place without his consent and the oldest smugglers and fences within the city cannot remember a time when things were different. Everyone knows not to cross the Master of Shadows for his spies see everything and his retribution is terrible.
The truth behind this mastermind is even more sinister. He is a Vampire who has stalked the streets of Marienburg for hundreds of years. For generations he has moved amongst the living. He has many guises, Master of Shadows, the Baron von Kasparlund, Secretary of the Merchants guild, Magister of the Temple Ascendant.
With these many aliases hiding his true nature, the Master of Shadows has weaved plots and grown in strength. His influence and power at their apex he has multiplied his victims over the decades to the point where he has an almost countless undead army at his disposal.
Now is his time to strike…
Up to 16 players will take part in a story driven, themed game of Warhammer between the forces of the Master of Shadows and a combined force of Marienburgers/ Dwarven Allies who are forced to try and retake the city from this usurper. The game will be conducted over two 3 hour sessions. All models will be provided so all players need do is show up and play. Feel free to bring along specific Vampire Counts, Empire, or Dwarven characters of your own if you would like them to be included. The games will be “Game Mastered” all day so you need no pre-existing knowledge of the forces involved in order to play.
Every player who takes part in the game will go home with some free prizes, as well as 2 lucky MVPs will be awarded a scratch built/ sculpted character from the game including the Master of Shadows himself!!!!!

Well, at AdeptiCon 2008, top generals will have their chance to set the record straight and take home the title of the 2007 GW 40k Tournament Circuit Warmaster.
Get ready to bring your “A” game to this tournament, because there are no baby seals to club here: to qualify for this prestigious tournament, players must have scored in the top 10 for Battle Points in a 2007 Games Workshop Tournament Circuit Event. Qualifying players who would like to take on the challenge of playing against the best competition in the United States should send an email confirming their attendance to awc_nfp@yahoo.com with a subject line of “Tournament Circuit Invitational”. The first 50 players to respond are guaranteed a spot in the tournament. As the 2007 Tournament Circuit Invitational Championships occurs on Sunday at AdeptiCon, players participating in this Invitational event will not be able to play in the AdeptiCon 40k Championships.
