Below you will find all the rules, resources and information you will need to properly prepare for the myriad of events at AdeptiCon 2012. The rules presented below have been finalized and will only be amended for logistical purposes or if new rules/army lists are released for a particular game.

Warhammer 40K Events

Warhammer 40K Championships
Friday 9:00AM – 10:00PM
Sunday 6:00AM – 5:00PM (Sunday’s event by qualification only!)
Experience AdeptiCon’s twist on an old classic. Prepare your 1850 point armies for some action-packed gaming against some of the fiercest competitors in the world!
All players will play 4 two hour and fifteen minute rounds on Friday and are eligible to win any of the Friday night awards. The top 16 players will advance to the finals on Sunday morning to play 4 additional two hour and fifteen minute rounds in a modified single-elimination format and compete for the Warmaster, Second in Command and Master Tactician awards.

Special Operations: Killzone is back for a second year at AdeptiCon. Freshly revised and amended from our experiences last year, Killzone is a narrative-rich dynamic grounded in Warhammer 40K’s Kill Teams variation. It is a fun, frivolous, evocative, and cinematic system designed for theatrical, skirmish-level play in the grim dark future.

Warhammer 40K Gladiator
Sunday 7:00AM – 5:00PM
Grab your power fist, summon the Greater Daemons, and bring in the Titans – the 40K Gladiator returns! The first rule of the AdeptiCon 40K Gladiator is “No Whining!” Life is not fair, and neither is the AdeptiCon 40K Gladiator.
Gladiator tournaments are all about power – crushing all who oppose you and using all those nasty army combinations you have been dying (but were too ashamed) to try. The weak and the timid need not apply. Everyone else will find their tactical acumen tested by three unique scenarios to determine who will join the ranks of AdeptiCon Gladiator Champions.

Warhammer 40K: The Battle for Piscina IV
Sunday 9:00AM – 4:30PM
This is an event engineered with the hobbyist in mind. Each player involved in this historical re-fight will be controlling a character of their choice from the classic Battle for Piscina IV, as told in the Storm of Vengeance campaign pack and the Black Library novel, The Purging of Kadillus. The entire narrative campaign will be played out over the course of the day, and each round of battles will affect the next. It is hoped that the participants will adhere as closely to the historical forces as they can whether they are running Chaplain Boreas and the Dark Angels Space Marines or Nazdreg and Bad Moon Orks, or any of a dozen other characters who are widely heralded or are relatively unknown.

The Big Brawl is looking for the best Warhammer General around! Arm your troops and dig in for a 3000-point, 3 round slugfest. There is no comp score in the Big Brawl, so break out all your toys! This is the tournament to see how far you can push your lists and how badly you can crush your opponents.

Back for its fourth year, the AdeptiCon Lord of the Rings Championship gives players the chance to test their skills against each other in one on one gaming. Players will bring a 600 point Legions-legal force and battle against their opponents to claim the title of AdeptiCon 2012 Lord of the Rings Champion.

The Lord of the Rings Team Tournament returns to AdeptiCon in 2012 with the escalation format players first experienced last year!
Teams start with their individual 350 point forces, then join to form a 700 point force and finally, add an additional 300 points and fight with a huge 1000 point force in a final battle royale!! Are you ready to face off against the best Lord of the Rings players in the nation? Do you and your teammate have what it takes to claim the title of Masters of Middle-earth? If so, gather your team of two and start planning your journey to ultimate Middle-earth domination at AdeptiCon 2012!

Battletech: Counterattack on Kessel

The Lyran Commonwealth has invaded Kessel and now the Draconis Combine is throwing everything they have to force them off. This game will have a one hour break at 4 PM for dinner. It will also be the first usage of the new Vimy Ridge system, so come on out and be the first to play!
There are 10 tickets available for each faction. All materials will be provided, players do not need to bring anything other than themselves.

Dark Age: March to Immortality
Saturday 7:00PM – 12:00AM
Armies march, crusades advance, warriors meet in battle. Screaming fanatics following self-proclaimed Saints face monsters, mutants and madmen but Samaria remains unconquered. Dark Age is a gritty, post-apocalyptic miniatures game. With survival at stake every battle counts! Join us for a late night tournament! We will be using the E’xtreme event format which can be found on Dark-age.com.
Event will be at 500 points. Miniatures do not need to be painted, but must be assembled, no proxies.
The winner will when a trip to GenCon 2012 to play in the Dark Age Immortality Event, which lets the player create a model that, will be in Dark Age all time! Dark Age Games will provide additional prize support.

Infinity Tournament

Legends of the Old West: Battle at the Little Big Horn

LTC George Armstrong Custer and his 7th Cavalry have braved snow, sleet, rain and 100+ degree heat…all in May! They are hot on the trail of Sitting Bull and his bands of Native Americans. Custer and the 7th Cavalry fully intend to deal with the savages as soon as possible so they can return to Fort Lincoln. Crazy Horse, Gall and Lame White Man all have other ideas for ol’ long hair and his troops.
Take charge of some Native American Braves and help put Custer and his troops in their place. Or, take command of some rough and ready US Cav troopers and help re-write history.

Necromunda By Night

Necromunda is a tabletop skirmish war game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. In Necromunda, players control rival gangs battling each other in the Underhive, a place of anarchy and violence in the depths below Hive City.
In the confined depths of the Underhive, “Night” has it’s own terrible meaning. Players will fight a series of linked campaigns, becoming progressively tougher as the night wears down. Who can stand against the unnamed things in the shadows and emerge the victor?

Relive the glories of the ancients on the tabletop at AdeptiCon 2012 with Warhammer Ancient Battles, 2nd Edition. This tournament features three games with 2000-point forces. Fully painted armies are required.

No man fights alone – call your brother or sister to your side for a Warhammer Ancient Battles, 2nd edition team event. Two players per team, each with 1000-point forces.

Warhammer Ancients: Princes Crusade, 1187 AD
Friday 4:00PM – 10:00PM
What if the crusader states survived Hattin? In the aftermath, the Princes of Europe race to the rescue of Jerusalem, while Saladin calls for reinforcements from all Muslim states. The Princes Crusade is a pitched battle matching forces from team Crusader and team Saracen. Players will join a team & work with their team captain to write appropriate army lists and rosters. Each player will need to supply a minimum of 1000 points of painted figures and be familiar with the WAB 2 rules. Army books Shieldwall, El Cid and Beyond the Golden Gate will be used to represent the various forced employed in this battle.

Take part in a Warmaster tournament of fantasy combat on a massive scale! This is a 2000 point tournament that will go three rounds. Players will be evaluated on Generalship, Sportsmanship and army appearance. Take your fantasy gaming to the next level with Warmaster!

Demo and Display Events
- An AdeptiCon Weekend Badge is required to participate in all demo events. You can purchase an AdeptiCon Weekend Badge here.
- All demo events are free. Tickets are not required to play in demo events. Your Weekend Badge acts a generic ticket to any and all demo events. A dedicated demo area will be set up outside the Junior Ballroom to accommodate the following events. Show up at any point to participate.
- All demo events are on a first-come, first-served basis. Every attempt will be made to accommodate attendees interested in participating in a demo event, but please be aware that the instructors will have limitations based on table space, available miniatures and staff.

The Battle for Carentan (Warlord/Bolt Action)
Friday and Saturday 10:00AM – 7:00PM
The place is Normandy. The date; June, 10th, 1944. Your platoon landed behind enemy lines four days ago. And now you approach the town of Carentan. You have been charged to take the town and consolidate the US beachheads of Utah and Omaha Beach. Command a platoon of the 101st Airborne and help the rest of your battalion seize this strategic intersection. Your only problem is the German 6th Parachute Regiment who occupies it! Models provided. -
AGA: The Battle of the Golden Bell

Please join us for battles based on the book and movie THE LONG SHIPS. All miniatures and gaming materials will be supplied. All players signing up should be familiar with and have a working knowledge of the SAGA Rules.
On an island near the Pillars of Hercules…the monks assembled more gold than had ever been seen…and then poured it into a bell…a golden bell…The Mother of Voices.
The legend must be true. King Harold Bluetooth has gathered his warbands and goes A-Viking to battle for The Mother of Voices. Follow the saga of Orm the Red, whose map has led to the Pillars of Hercules, but Aly Mansuh the King of the Moors has begun the search as well and with the help of Rolfe and his Viking warriors have found the golden prize. With the golden bell, songs and sagas will be written about you, bring your Viking warband to help take the bell from Aly Mansuh for fame and glory…or ride to the aid of Moorish King to defend his prize from the infidels…

The Battletech Bootcamp will teach all the basic rules of Battletech found in the core rulebook, Total Warfare. No experience is needed to learn or play. Bootcamp runs all day Friday and Saturday –drop in at any time. -
Brushfire Demo

Brushfire is a fantasy skirmish game with a anthropomorphic historical parody setting. Napoleonic Badgers and Moles fight off against Berserker Hamsters and Arabian Lizards! No wargaming experience is required, We’re here to show the ropes of this fast, and fun miniatures game. Children under 13 require parental/adult supervision. -
Brushfire Megabattle
Friday and Saturday 6:00PM – 10:00PM
Factions collide in an all-out Brushfire battle; players should bring or borrow a 50 Resource army and prepare for anything. Painting is not required, but encouraged. Because of Brushfire’s easy to learn mechanics new players can easily jump in without much experience. Prizes will go out to the last player standing and to the OTL Staff’s pick of best painted. -
Dark Age Demos

Come by to get a demo of Dark Age: Apocalypse! On the planet Samaria, the people left behind are forced to fend for themselves against aliens, mutants and monsters on a gritty and deserted landscape. Dark Age is a cutthroat and brutal game. Are you tough enough to survive on the surface of Samaria or will you discover the true in the games slogan “Everything Dies”.

While the Great War has been churning on for a year now, and millions have already died on the battlefields of Europe, Mesopotamia remains a relative back water…………..until now!
General Townsend has been told to move his 6th Poona Indian Division, together with a small British Expeditionary Force and local Arab Allies up along the Tigris River. He has been told to capture Baghdad. He is dismissive of the Turkish army standing in his way.
Nurettin Pasha moves down the Tigris to meet Townsend with his Turks, a small unit of German Asia Korps and their native Allies. His orders are to force the enemy down through the rivers and out of Mesopotamia.
As is usual for this new type of warfare, both men are not given sufficient resources to complete their missions. How will you do? Come play this fast and bloody game. The Great War Rules are published by Games Workshop and are based on the mechanics of 40K. Rules are taught as we go along. Everything is supplied. It’s a new century, and only 10 years after the failed Martian invasion of the Earth. Victorian era Scientists have reverse engineered the Martian equipment and this has led to the Ether-Wave propulsion that has pushed Mankind to the Solar System. First stop, the Red Planet. However, once upon Mars, the British find a different belligerent race, the bird-like Kroot. The Kroot are not as technologically developed as the Martians, but are the caretakers of arcane and unknown sites of their overlords, an unknown race thought to be called the Tau. Captured Kroot Warriors indicate that the Tau have promised to return and reclaim their technology. Once that happens, Earth will be under the thumb of the Tau. British High Command on Earth has decided to collect or destroy all the Tau technology on Mars. Her Majesty’s Martian Colonial Command has deployed a force of the British Expeditionary Force to destroy the Tau installation at the foot of the Arsia Mons volcano. However, the Kroot consider the Tau sites as sacred centers, and will defend them to the death. Come play the alien Kroot, or the brave Victorian British. The GASLIGHT rules are simple, fun and no previous experience is necessary. All figures and game aids will be supplied. Maximum of 6 players. -
